It was one of “Days of Our Lives” biggest, and most tragic story lines. Bo and Hope were forced to say goodbye to their 3-year-old son, Zack, whom was hit by a car in 2006.
Kristian Alfonzo remembers the story as being powerful, and hard hitting.
“That was such a heartbreaking story. Many emotions played in that … the devastation of losing a child. You never want to outlive your children and he was such a young boy. You think you’ve left your child with someone safe and that he is safe, and the worst scenario takes place — it’s late at night, nobody knows, and he gets hit by a car,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
Of course, “Days” fans remember it was Bo’s daughter, Chelsea, who hit Zack with her car, which eventually killed her little half-brother after Bo and Hope made the decision to take him off life support.
To this day, Zack’s death still weighs on Hope, and is one of the saddest things to ever happen on the show. It still brings us to tears every time we watch it!
